Terms of use

Who we are and what this site is

Keys to the City is a consumer marketing and education service operated by Project Baseline. We help people who work in certain professions learn about homebuying and, with their consent, connect them with a licensed loan officer. We are not a lender, not a mortgage broker, and not a government agency, and nothing on this site is an offer or commitment to lend.

Not financial, legal, or lending advice

Content on this site is educational. It is not financial, legal, tax, or lending advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional. Quiz results are marketing matches only; they are never a prequalification, an eligibility determination, or a credit decision.

Using this site

  • You must be 18 or older to submit our forms.
  • Give us accurate information; do not submit someone else's details without their permission.
  • Do not scrape, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or misuse the site or its forms.

Our content

The Keys to the City name, threshold mark, seal, page designs, guides, and copy belong to Project Baseline. Personal, non-commercial use is welcome; republication or commercial use requires our written permission.

Third parties

Licensed loan officers you are connected with are independent professionals, not our employees or agents. Their advice, products, and decisions are their own, made under their own licenses and obligations.

No warranties; limitation of liability

The site is provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Questions: [email protected].
